A Night of Conscious Connection: Conscious Circles Gathering for the Conscious Business Community
March 6, 2019 – Conscious Community Circles are designed to create intimate connection over a short amount of time. The goal: to create more connected community and offer a taste of what it might be like to be in a regular Conscious Circle.
Why? We connect in an intimate and intentional way to set up the possibility of deeper connections. We had a wonderful night of warmth, energy and real meaningful conversation. There was no better way to interact with the more conscious, mindful community than this wonderful yet casual gathering.

CCSD Summer Social
On July 12, 2018, we celebrated summer with our Conscious Capitalism tribe. It was a chance to add Conscious Connections to your personal business community and have a little fun after your workday. Beers were on tap, yummy tacos & there were wonderful Conscious People to meet!

Conscious Connections Roundtable
On June 26, 2018, we spent a wonderful evening at WD-40 to experience a roundtable conversation with local conscious business leaders about How to stay true to the higher purpose behind our Corporate Social Responsibility activities and keep our good intentions from being co-opted for commercial purposes. This was a real-life display of the tenets of Conscious Capitalism in action, and showing conscious leaders facing the resistance and opportunity of raising organizational consciousness.
A New Definition of “Prosperity”
Profit at any cost has cost taxpayers, the environment, and society at large plenty. In his new documentary Prosperity, bestselling author Pedram Shojai talks to leaders of the next generation of companies like Guayaki, Rodale Publishing, and Whole Foods Market that incorporate socially conscious practices into their businesses, turning “for profit” into “for benefit.
On May 21, 2018, Conscious Capitalism San Diego joined together for a movie screening and discussion with the filmmaker, Pedram Shojai and a panel of experts in medicine, finance and sustainability.
Achieving Conscious Capitalism Through Employee Ownership
Conscious Capitalism encourages business to make a positive impact on the world by focusing on the entire ecosystem of stakeholders and on a higher purpose.
Companies that turn employees into owners are often industry leaders in supporting their communities, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) can over time help address the growing problem of income and wealth inequality between owners and employees.
On April 10, 2018, Conscious Capitalism joined together at the Beyster Institute at UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management to learn from experts about why and how to create an employee-owned company.

CCSD is very excited to have launched our first ever Conscious Business Highlight Event. So often, as board members, we are asked questions surrounding Conscious Capitalism. As one of our core commitments to our members and the community, we strive to give you learning and growth opportunities. Conscious Connections | Speed Networking
At sundown, we gathered together for a beer with other cool and conscious humans at Stone Brewing Liberty Station.
While we honor the slow life, this night was dedicated to speed. Speed networking, connecting, and learning about each other! It was a wonderful evening spent outside socializing under the stars.

Conscious Capitalism 2017
April 18-20, Conscious Capitalism hosted their annual conference in Philadelphia. It was designed to deepen your practical application of the principles of Conscious Capitalism with high potency keynotes, new content for teams, multiple tracks of hands-on practicums and rich opportunities to connect with and learn from peers. Conscious Leadership as a Servant Leader with Ken Blanchard
On November 15, 2016, CCSD hosted Ken Blanchard. We learned how to apply the concepts of Servant Leadership as one way to bring the philosophy of Conscious Capitalism to life — elevating humanity through business. It was such an honor to listen to Ken share his experience as well as the opportunity to ask him some thoughtful questions. It was a perfect way to end 2016 for CCSD and our community.

The second in a series of webinars hosted by Conscious Capitalism Southwest Chapters took place on August 31, 2016. This webinar featured Conscious Capitalism pioneer and The Container Store Founder, Kip Tindell. It was moderated by Conscious Capitalism’s Co-CEO Alexander McCobin. The Business of Joy: Creating and Sustaining a Conscious Culture
On February 18th, CCSD held a networking reception bringing together conscious professionals, exploring first-hand how building a business around conscious, higher purpose ideals can bring rapid and significant business growth and greatly impact company culture, community and business stakeholders. Conscious Capitalism Organizational Assessment Workshop
On January 19th, CCSD had its first event of the year by leading a half-day workshop meant to guide leaders in assessing how their organization scores against all facets of Conscious Capitalism.

Conscious Capitalism 2015 National Conference
The April conference in Chicago was a huge success. The sold out event was full of life changing perspectives from amazing leaders who are walking the walk. CCSD Launch Event
On May 11, 2015, Conscious Capitalism San Diego officially launched with our inaugural event at University of San Diego. Speakers included Greg Koch, dynamic CEO & Co-founder of Stone Brewing Co. and Andrew Hewitt, founder of GameChangers 500. The enthusiasm of our sell-out crowd was contagious, and we feel inspired to have such a committed, passionate group of partners and supporters.
