In 2019, San Diego was selected as one of five cities to receive a $3 million investment as part of JPMorgan Chase’s AdvancingCities Challenge. San Diego EDC is putting this investment to good work through their Advancing San Diego initiative. The initiative is supporting the regions inclusive growth goals by addressing skilled talent shortages, increasing diversity in high-growth, high-demand jobs, and expanding access to talent for small companies.
One example of this is over the next three years, the program will pay the salaries of interns for 100 small businesses. You can learn more about internship opportunities here.
