This September Inc. article shares a key tactic that Honest Tea founder, Seth Goldman, applies everyday to his now million dollar company. Instead of focusing on the destination, Seth believes in keeping their eyes on the path as it is always changing. Check out his thoughts on business mission as well.
Local San Diego company, Renovate America, received Global Capital’s Best Green/SRI Deal of the Year Award.They also finished second behind Apple in the category of North American Green/SRI Deal of the Year. The award was for their HERO Program (Home Energy Renovation Opportunity). This program helps homeowners finance a product installations to conserve water and energy. Since December 2011, “the HERO Program has financed more than $1.75 billion of improvements in more than 75,000 homes throughout California.”
Why is Stakeholder Orientation of the the Four Tenets of Conscious Capitalism? Conscious Companies realize that creating value for all is better business than just focusing on shareholders. Edward Freedman’s Stakeholder Theory is a good starting point to help one understand why this is so.
