In the news
This Triple Pundit article makes a great case for why Capitalism needs Conscious Leaders and how the Conscious Capitalism movement is leading the way in this. Conscious Capitalism is “holistic approach that puts people and moral conscience at the center of business practices.”
Impact
Sometimes companies put practices and strategies in place because they simply support their values and also makes business sense. And sometimes these organizations or leaders do not fit what some would consider typically conscious, or socially-minded, or environmental-minded, or mission-driven, etc. The point being, not all “conscious” business might look the same on the outside but when you dig a little deeper and are open to discovering what they are all about, alignment partnerships, innovation, and change can happen.
Informative Read/View
We are often told to focus on our strengths. Companies love hearing about these in interviews and often spend money to enhance them. But, what if your perceived weakness/uniqueness/weirdness could be the very thing(s) that make you exceptional? Author and comedian, David Rendall believes so. If you are curious how your inner weird could actually be a positive, check out his book. The Freak Factor: Discovering Uniqueness by Flaunting Weakness.
