A New Definition of “Prosperity”
Profit at any cost has cost taxpayers, the environment, and society at large plenty. In his new documentary Prosperity, bestselling author Pedram Shojai talks to leaders of the next generation of companies like Guayaki, Rodale Publishing, and Whole Foods Market that incorporate socially conscious practices into their businesses, turning “for profit” into “for benefit.
On May 21, 2018, Conscious Capitalism San Diego joined together for a movie screening and discussion with the filmmaker, Pedram Shojai and a panel of experts in medicine, finance and sustainability.
Achieving Conscious Capitalism Through Employee Ownership
Conscious Capitalism encourages business to make a positive impact on the world by focusing on the entire ecosystem of stakeholders and on a higher purpose.
Companies that turn employees into owners are often industry leaders in supporting their communities, and Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) can over time help address the growing problem of income and wealth inequality between owners and employees.
On April 10, 2018, Conscious Capitalism joined together at the Beyster Institute at UC San Diego’s Rady School of Management to learn from experts about why and how to create an employee-owned company.
