“Put one’s money where one’s mouth is.” You might have heard this phrase before. You might agree with it as well. You may not know where to start though when wanting to be more conscious with your capital investments. This Conscious Company Magazine article is a good starting point to consider your options and behaviors. Note, the title mentions Millennials, but we think it can be useful info for all generations.
The Center for Peace and Commerce at the University of San Diego is doing some incredible things to create great impact in our local community and beyond. One of these initiatives is their annual Social Innovation Challenge. This challenge provides students with the tools and skills to develop their own social venture. Hear about this challenge and more on this Impact Matters podcast with CPC’s Assistant Director, Grace Michel.
Particularly excited to share this week’s read with you all. It comes from our very own CCSD Board Member, Dr. Mehrad Nazari. This past Tuesday, he released his much anticipated book, Enlightened Negotiation: 8 Universal Laws to Connect, Create, and Prosper. John Mackey, Founder of Conscious Capitalism and Whole Foods, sums it up best:
“Enlightened Negotiation is a new, practical and illuminating method for conscious negotiations and sustainable relationships. It is an essential guide for applying higher universal principles to our daily interactions that are embraced by enlightened leaders, entrepreneurs and individuals. Dr. Nazari provides structured negotiation skills that you can implement immediately. His unique and diverse background makes him the most qualified to present this integrated approach. This book is destined to become a classic in its field.”
“We’re working hard on eliminating shame. It’s going to beconsciouscapitalismthat drives it.”
